Master Planning a green field educational campus is perhaps the most coveted and fulfilling assignment an Architect can undertake. Campus life is synonymous with inspiration, innovation, incite full discussions, free spirited disruptive and constructive activities.
A heady mix of formal and informal learning that transforms young fertile minds into confident and knowledgeable professionals. Ready to chart their course and eager to make a difference!
Architecture in a campus then becomes a great medium for expression of the power of inspiration, the power of innovation and the power of constructive disruption. Campus architecture must go beyond the fulfillment of a stated brief of functional spaces.

National Sports University, Imphal

Site : 300 Acres
Client : Sports Authority of India
Built-up Area: 10 Lac sq. ft.
The National Sports University located at Imphal spanning across 300 acres of contoured land has been conceived as a state of the art campus that houses all sporting facilities and amenities required for the young and aspiring athletes of India to reach their goals and realise their dreams. The campus is designed to have sporting facilities for all sports and specialised training zones.
The campus has been envisaged in two phases that incorporates enclave planning. Phase 1 has an academic zone that is placed at the highest point of the campus so that it gets prime view and also provides for the view of the entire campus. Student’s residential campus is divided in two land parcels – girls on the south and boys towards the north with sufficient buffer in between. The staff residential zone is placed in the north west so that it gets segregated from the students and is in close proximity to the academic zone. The sports facilities are placed in the centre. Phase two is primarily designed for students / players who play at international and national level. All playing fields are aligned in North-South direction, so that glare of east and west sun does not create a problem while playing.
